..........Many sources rate Greeneville as one of the best places to retire to ( affordable housing, mountains, friendly, hospitals, shopping, college(s), arts & crafts, lakes/rivers/ parks ) which makes Greeneville sound like it has it all.......so; ...Are there any other TN towns as good or better to retire to ?? If so, what are these TN towns & where are they located in TN ?

Tullahoma is an ideal place to retire. Tullahoma is a city as unique as its name, with a population of just over 20,000 its nestled in southwestern Coffee County in south central Middle Tennessee. Tullahoma is known throughout the state for it outstanding city school system, which all students graduate with high honors. Tullahoma has outstanding shopping and restraunts(most of which you would only think to find in large metropolitian cities) Tullahoma has great recreation with 2 Community Centers, Indoor and outdoor pools, 6 city parks, 2 recreation complex's, 25 ballfields, and a Senior citizens center. Tullahoma is all you could dream of combined into a small city setting. So consider Tullahoma as you place to retire! http://www.tullahoma-tn.com/

Just to the North of Greeneville is Rogersville, lots of retirees there, also up the road to the east of Rogersville are two other nice towns or Church Hill and Mount Carmel that both have easy access to Kingsport which has great medical facilities, shopping and recreation. All of these towns follow along the Holston River. Draw backs of these three towns.....all dry, but Kingsport is not and has several liquor stores.
My parents retired to Rogersville and LOVE IT!
