Time to camp out in the home.

The Oak Ridge forecast for Thursday - 101 degrees.
The forecast for Friday - 101 degrees
Saturday 98 degrees
Sunday 99 degrees
The forecast for Monday - 100 degrees

It's still June. Zero percent chance of rain until Sunday when it's only a 20 percent chance.

I hate summer.

Check your 10 day weather forecast on Weather.com and report in. Do we have any places in Tennessee where it will go above 101 degrees in the next few days?

It's an unusually hot week. It's the consequences of a high moving over the middle of the country coupled with tropical storm Debby that is moving off of the gulf coast. Very, very unusual and crazy hot. I guess I'll put off starting jogging until next month. Drats!

It's 83 right now in Knoxville but it is so dry that it actually feels like 81. Temps is expected to reach 100 on Sunday. All of this info is from the National Weather Service.

By the way, Chattanooga is at 87 right now with a heat index of 84 so it can get hotter there. And it is 92 degrees right now in Memphis and 89 in Nashville. They are one hour behind us so it is 2:30 pm in East Tenn. but 1:30 p.m. in Nashville and Memphis.

Should be interesting to see how hot it gets, unusual perfect storm of brutal weather ahead!

It's 95 right now. Tomorrow it's supposed to be 98, Friday 104, Saturday 103, Sunday 102.

Oh, and I should point out the heat index is 91, because there's only 18% humidity.

Now, Bones. Alcohol will just dehydrate you. It could put you out of your misery for awhile, though!

Here's what the NWS says regarding current record temps:

CURRENT RECORD HIGHS FOR FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY ARE THE FOLLOWING:

FRI SAT SUN

TRI-CITIES... 95/1952 95/1959 98/1959
KNOXVILLE... 101/1936 100/1952 100/1954
CHATTANOOGA... 102/1936 103/1952 101/1954

They just said on the 11 o'clock news that nationally 1,101 temperature records were broken across the country this week. The key is going to be the dew point. It's dry, dry, dry right now but moisture is suppose to move by Friday.

Here is what the NWS said about Nashville:

THE HIGH AT NASHVILLE ON THURSDAY IS EXPECTED TO BE 101 DEGREES
WHICH IS JUST 3 DEGREES SHORT OF THE RECORD OF 104 DEGREES SET
BACK IN 1952. THIS WILL BE THE FIRST TRIPLE DIGIT HEAT IN
NASHVILLE SINCE AUGUST 3RD OF LAST YEAR WHEN THE TEMPERATURE HIT
102 DEGREES. FRIDAY...A HIGH OF 103 DEGREES IS FORECAST WHICH
WOULD TIE THE RECORD HIGH OF 103 DEGREES SET BACK IN 1952. 106
DEGREES ON JUNE 30TH 1952 IS THE HOTTEST TEMPERATURE EVER RECORDED
IN THE MONTH OF JUNE.
