While in the Senate, Fred Thompson did not sponsor one piece of memorable legislation. He didn't really do much of anything. That shouldn't be surprising, seeing how ridiculous he sounds when he attempts to answer questions. He will soon learn that vague platitudes may be acceptable to Tennessee voters (thus Bredesen, Sundquist, Alexander, Corker, and McWherter have all been successful here), but they are not acceptable to voters in other parts of the country. Mr. Thompson has less substance than any of the other major candidates.

Here in NJ any politician who hasn't been in the newspaper, or is considered "unremarkable" is a GOOD thing! lol

For those who don't know, we have an incredible amount of corruption and dirty politics here; millions of dollars squandered and really, stolen from the public to hand off to friends, ex-girlfriends, and relatives.

Oh! Let me introduce you to Knox County politics!

Last week a judge found the county commission guilty of violating the state's sunshine law. It's a huge mess.

Hey strumpeace,

I agree 100%. I think it's a good thing that politicians do nothing. It's when they do something that we have problems. I would say the number one priority for a politician is to keep other politicians from doing things... to us. I'm as independent as they come. I truly think that both parties are in the same big cash boat together, scooping up our dollars as we row them ashore. You're right Fred might not look good to the boys in Iowa, or the ladys in New Hampshire, but in TN he plays well. We're going to end up with a couple out-of-touch New Yorkers running in 08 and every citizen will loose.

We need some people with guts and glory, a little crazy, a whole lot sensible, Where's Ross Perot?
