I'm wanting for a few wooded acres in a forested undeveloped setting for building a small cabin to retreat to.
I also dream of eventually escaping metropolitian life after my kids grow up so that I can enjoy my later years doing what I love-fishing,hunting,appreciating some elbow room.
Is anyone familiar enough with Turtletown area to describe if it might meet my expectations?

I have 5 acres on top of a mountain overlooking a 80 acre lake that's a stones throw from the Little Frog Wilderness that is in the Cherokee National Forrest.
I have spent allot of time in the Turtletown / Ducktown area hiking, hunting, fishing and white water rafting the Ocoee river. I can tell you this, I think this area has so much beauty when I go up to visit my property I don't want to come home!!!! Polk county Tennessee is very rural with only a handful of developments with acerage that is for sale, The national forrest takes up a very big percentage of the county and that is what always appealed to me.
