K: You set quite a HIGH standard early in month, be hard to try and TOP that next weekend. Thanks for expanded album. Jealous of the Blueberry bushes, I could only find a few small ones to buy this year.
Warm in Chatt, today about 90 degrees, even jumped in the river TWICE this afternoon for long swim. Working on our own hiking / bike trail.
. Keep us all educated with good outdoor locations.

Great pictures! Thank you for sharing. It reminds me that I really need to put the family in the car and drag them up there, such beauty in our own back yard (proverbial seeing as we are about 50 miles away, but still...) and we don't make the time to go enjoy it, so thanks for the pics and the reminder.
Oh, and did you notice anyone with dogs up there? Did you happen to notice any signs that said whether dogs were allowed or not in the park?

Yes, by all means get up there while the gettin's good! Of course, it can be breathtakingly gorgeous up there year-round if the weather cooperates.

I saw one dog up there on Sunday, have seen dozens on the balds over the years. Don't recall seeing any signs but I know for a fact that as long as they're leashed, of course, dogs are permitted both in the park & on that portion of the Appalachian Trail (unlike in the Smokies).

Thanks, kamoshika. The photos are absolutely breath-taking. I hope we get to experience some of that great color about 10 days from now when we drive up to E. TN through the mts. from N. GA.

You did a great job of capturing the color and grandeur on those lovely peaks. Thanks for sharing.
