Hi, we will be moving to Fort Campbell due to a military move and are wondering what areas are best, I am hearing parts of Clarksville are nice. I am not sure of what areas exactly though? Right now we do not have any kids just a dog and rabbit so if there are any areas that have a dog park near by? Big priority is low to no crime!

1.What are the nice areas/neighborhoods to rent a house? (low crime and quick commute)

2.Where to avoid?(dirty, crime, etc)

3.What is the commute time? (traveling to work and leaving work)

4.What is the average utility cost per month? (electric, water, gas)

5.What are good places to look for rentals? I have found a few sites but they do not have many rentals, I would like to stay around $800 a month for rent, leaving 200 for utilities.

6.What are some activities or things to do?

7.Colleges that have an associates degree program for radiography/radiology and what is the commute time? (prefer community college)

Thanks in advance!!

1.What are the nice areas/neighborhoods to rent a house? (low crime and quick commute)

2.Where to avoid?(dirty, crime, etc)
For places to avoid Lincoln Homes is around the Kraft St close to APSU. Also New Providence. These are mainly for places to live. Someone in my family has even said that the apartments that you can see from Guthrie Hwy near the Kraft St intersection should be avoided. I personally would not move around the peachers mill area closest to the Kenwood schools.

3.What is the commute time? (traveling to work and leaving work)
Depending on the time of day it can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 45. Its really going to depend on where you live. I've made it from exit 11 to gate 4 (main gate) in about 20 min and that was a good day.

4.What is the average utility cost per month? (electric, water, gas) Its going to vary who the provider is and where the home is located. I know that's not much help. If you find a place you like, you can call the service provider and get an idea.

5.What are good places to look for rentals? I have found a few sites but they do not have many rentals, I would like to stay around $800 a month for rent, leaving 200 for utilities.

6.What are some activities or things to do?
Once a year they have a Rivers and Spires festival that ends up being pretty big. You have Land Between the Lakes to the north, Nashville to the south, there are also a few museums there also. In Nashville you have Opryland Hotel (which is awesome at Christmas), Grand Ol Opry, General Jackson, Downtown, basically there is tons to do there.

7.Colleges that have an associates degree program for radiography/radiology and what is the commute time? (prefer community college)
Since your looking at radiography/radiology I believe Austin Peay does have that program in place. If not worse case scenario, you drive to Nashville for it. After all Vanderbilt is there. If that's the case, look toward the Sango area or close to I-24 Exits 8-19.
