It is also a dry town/county. Have to drive to Knoxville to buy booze and to buy beer on Sunday you have to drive 6 miles to Athens! HA HA! Really stupid people there. Or very backwards to say the least. I moved to sweetwater from Fl and am back in Fl - would like to move back to TN but will move closer to Cookeville, Knoxville or Bristol when I do. Athens/Niota area is too much a depressed area.
I don't want to demean You in any way, but where have You been in the world? Truly how many places in the entire Western Hemisphere have You actually lived and spent years? It seems to me that You have a closed mind and don't see the beauty in most of "these people's" personalities. Their background is different from Yours, "You" are the backward person here. You need to be open minded, and these people here will let You in. They will give You their shirt off their back for You, even though they have almost nothing! Just a thought for You to ponder over.

Who is stupid and backwards here? Could it be someone with a closed mind?
