Does anyone know of any good painting jobs available in East Tennessee or anyone hiring?? We are relocating from Central Florida my husband has his own painting company down here and while I was thinking about calling the Sherwinn Williams stores up there I thought I'd check with some of you all to see if anyone knows how the job market is for painting and what counties/cities. Thanks for any info you can give me..

Default Hi, Country_Girl68!

My wife and I just recently finished restoring an old house we live in - it took about 6 or 7 years - and we met several painters in the process. It's interesting... I believe all of them at one time had worked as painters in Florida and had moved up here. My only thought would be that it seems to be a tough profession in this area - there seems to be a lot of painters here in the rural areas of the Tennessee Valley. That may not be the case in the two major cities - Chattanooga and Knoxville - I just don't know.

We've also found that most of the painters we have met are also doing other things - like swinging a hammer - to make the business work.

Hopes this helps!

Thanks for the imput.
We are actually looking to move to a rural area out of the city, tired of the city life!!! So any painting companies out there who are hiring a well experienced painter (has his own business) would be great ...
What part of Tennessee are you in?
We were looking in parts like Savannah, Johnson City and surrounding areas...
Thanks for the information

We live halfway between Chattanooga and Knoxville, near Athens, TN. I don't know much about that area up near J' City, altho' we are planning a weekend drive up that way to do some exploring... Best of luck in your search!
