TnHilltopper, tried my best to give you some rep for that lovely piece of poetry. I never knew you were so talented. That is to say, I KNEW you were talented, just not SO talented!

Anyhow, I loved it. It warmed my heart to envision that "quilted patchwork of frozen art upon the earth". Thank you. And, it does WARM the heart.

May you all have warm hearts and a hearty good time.

Most appreciated and I enjoy the feedback. I have a book compiled but am still lacking the illustrations. It has been a while since I picked up my chalk or pencils so it may take a spell. However, one of these days I will have it published locally and might hop on here in a bid of shameless self promotion.

Again, many thanks.

Hik - Thanks for starting this thread.

Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year! Count your blessings every day and hug those closest to you. My wife( yes MBM, I am a man ) thinks I am on the computer too much!

I appreciate the thoughts and advice I have found in this forum community and always look forward to conversing with my faceless friends. And one day, I look forward to putting a face on these many friends though we now have a Split siting! For so long, Split was our resident Wilson(of Home Improvement fame). A picture of a motorcycle on a riverbed, the hand on a kayak paddle, never the face. Now we have a face.

Here is a picture of Grizz and his pack. He's a very lucky man.

We're not a real tall family!

Keep up those medical check-ups because someone out there counts on you to be around for a long time.
