What are the chances of finding a spanish speaking doctor in the area of Columbia/Franklin, Tennessee.
My mother is 87 and does not speak english and she is very worry about it. We are moving in June 2006 to the area.

why don't you call a doctor's office there and ask if there is any spanish-speaking doctors in town?
You could probably find out quickest this way

I'm guessing at that age she is on Medicare. Maybe you could see if they have a find a physican search on there where you can put in a language. I did try the cigna site. It makes you pick a plan and the one I randomly picked showed Spanish speaking doctors in Lebanon, Springfield, Clarksville, and some other places. I put in Franklin as the starting point. Like I said, I randomly picked a plan so there probably are others closer they just don't fall into the plan I tried.
Anyway, you should try the Medicare website or the site for what ever other insurance she has. Then you should even be able to see specific types of doctors- if she needs specialists- that speak Spanish.
