Hello,

I have been delving into my E. TN research the last few days. The areas I am interested in (if any of you know about new construction prices or land prices it would be greatly valued and appreciated .. are Pittman Center (seems highly pricey), Baneberry (also seems pricey), Seymour (seems on the cusp of getting pricey), Cosby, and Newport. For work, we need to be no more than 45 minutes from Rt. 66 in Sevierville where the theatres are (my husband works near there, kind of near the Tanger Outlet Center). Ideally we would like to buy land and build, my dream is 3-5 acres for no more than $10K an hour. I am not sure this is possible. If we have to buy a home, we would be looking for new construction, no more than 150K for at least 2,000 sq. ft. Less would be okay, we can't be too choosy in this real estate market. Seems like Newport offers the least expensive pre-built homes.

We love being near the mountains but we are seeing the closer you get to the mountains, the higher the dollars go...

Thanks everyone!

Hi Merrick! I would suggest Hwy 321 between Pittman Center and Cosby. Its absolutely beautiful out there with minimal traffic, lots of land, and good pricing. I live in Sevierville but my dad lives in Pittman I love it!! It will put you about 20-25 min from Pigeon Forge. Pittman was voted #2 of the 12 best distinctive destinations. It has also been voted one of the best places to live. This is what I would recommend! Heres a link about it:http://www.pittmancentertn.com/awards.html If you need anything else just ask!
