Dave is not from Tennessee ... which is a point I made.
Most ranking lists are based on FBI data, not some arbitrary spot that some wacko leftist opinion site made up. If you actually LOOK at the FBI data, you would see that Tennessee does fare poorly in the violent crime department. The FBI gets their data from the TBI. The TBI gets their data from local law enforcement.

There is not some dumb conspiracy to make red states look bad and blue states look good.

Was there a dumb conspiracy that involved the IRS targeting conservative groups?

Dumb things occurring for political reasons happens all the time ... especial in today's political environment ... that's a fact!

You might try goggling "manipulated crime statistics" just to get a feel on how prevalent the problem really is ... and not just in the USA.

You might try citing legitimate websites, not tin foil hat blogs.

Let me ask you this: if the FBI DID manipulate data for Tennessee crime stats, do you not think that the state would, you know, call them out on it? I mean, since they are the ones that supply the data and all.

Not necessarily and probably not publicly if they did. Corruption in politics runs in both parties ... and Tennessee is not exempt. Manipulation of any public data can and is done for a variety of reasons. For example ... presenting crime data that shows an increase in violence involving a gun could support gun control legislation. Presenting data that shows an increase in police brutality towards a certain ethnic group could support the city government and district attorney's position in Baltimore right now. Manipulating data whether it's relating to crime or a Hollywood movie critique is done all the time to achieve ones goals. It's easy to do and it's hard to counter when it's subjective.

I wonder what it must be like to think the boogeyman is out to get me everyday. I mean, aside from constantly having to wipe the drool off of my chin.

I'm sure you do wonder. The key is to understand what a boogieman really is.

The boogeyman is what he has always been. A spooky story designed to haunt the minds of children. Then people like Alex Jones and Glenn Beck figured out that some adults still believe.
