Well no tornado's here but it was one of the most intense down pours I have seen since living here. For about 20 minutes we were pelted with hail and sheets of rain and the sound of trees moaning, and wind howling. Quite a bit of lightning too, and I think we lost power twice but not for long. Looks like folks west of here have once again took the brunt of the storm.

Still windy today as well and I am surprised I haven't seen more warning for flash flooding as some of the smaller creeks here are up to the roadway.

Stay safe folks.

Oh my gosh!! I am glad ya all are ok. I tried to keep track on cd when the storms started hitting ya. We were said to have 28 inches of snow by the next day. That did not happen. We got about 6 inches. The morning news guy said " yea, I heard last night that people (world news) were saying 2 1/2 inches of snow," he laughed and said no, we are not getting that much snow and didn't know where they got the wrong info..
Anyways, the main thing is that we all are ok. I'm glad to hear from you all, gotta go check some other threads. I have friends in Tenn. and family in Kentucky. May God keep us all safe, amen.

LIVE LAUGH AND LOVE

p.s. in the sticks of Illinois.

Is everyone okay? It looks like it got as far in the middle as Hartsville? Isnt that only one county or so from Putnam? Are there warning sirens in Tennessee? It is nerve-racking, and we are still thinking of moving down there, but Im scared now. Our friends are moving to Sparta - someone from Sparta said they just finished repairs from the last tornado? Is this a regular thing down there? I didnt think TN was tornado alley by any stretch.

I am glad the Nashville stations did such a great job covering the incoming bad weather on Tuesday night...it was a MUCH BIGGER story than Super Tuesday results...GREAT job by the NEWS and WEATHER people....

Just to give everyone some perspective...what happened Tuesday night was the WORST OUTBREAK since 1933....so...I wouldn't consider Tennessee "tornado alley" by any STRETCH of the imagination.....

We were very lucky here in Nashville. When I went offline Tuesday night the TV radars were showing a major series of cells headed directly for where I live, some showing over 100 mph winds and possible tornadoes.

That group of cells actually "lifted" upwards about five miles from my house, "skipped" over Nashville and came down northeast of Nashville and did a lot of damage.
