Has anyone experienced this, and have you gotten over it after moving here?

We visited TN from Chicago and one of us got carsick. I'm hoping it's just having to get used to the up, down and around roads.

Which part of TN? If you're talking about mountain roads in the east, then yes that's relatively common. Best solution is to slow down

I don't think carsick is something you get used to? I think that's more one of those things that either you do or you don't have a problem with although I do know that certain things can make you more likely to be car sick. My kid will be fine unless she reads in the car, that triggers it for her every time. And yeah, slowing down around curves helps, a cloverleaf design just kills me unless I go at a crawl.

Your talking motion sickness. A person susceptible to motion sickness will experience it under many conditions not just riding in a car. They probably also get sea sickness or sick on aircraft and amusement rides. There are many ways and products to reduce the chance of getting motion sickness. You can also get over motion sickness. Pilots and boat workers are trained to get over motion sickness.
