My husband and I plan to move to Shelbyville or the surrounding area when I retire next year. Unfortunately for him, he won't be able to retire. Can anyone give me an idea of the job situation up there? He has a Class A CDL and can drive anything, currently he is driving dump trucks, prior to that it was a cement mixer. Also, he is a journeyman carpenter and can build anything from buildings to stage sets. What job opportunities are there.
Thanks
Deb

There are several lage trucking and warehousing companies in Shelbyville. Check out goggins, walmart distribution center, or nationwide express. If he enjoys driving a mixer then check out sequatchie concrete they are often hiring. He shouldn't have trouble finding a carpentry job either as the housing market here is still pretty strong.
