It's just me. I'll take care of items 2 - 6 and also bring some snacks that don't need to be kept cool. (Can't carry a cooler down the stairs at my apartment complex or lift one in and out of my trunk.)

I'm staying overnight but not Friday night, just Saturday night. Still, I will arrive early on Saturday and will get there probably before or around 9, Central Time. (Don't forget the time change, East Siders. We gain an hour going there.)

If you plan to take photos you will need to get in the car to do it. You could kill at least 3 - 4 hours just driving around looking and snapping pics and that doesn't include anyone who wants to hike somewhere.

I'm thinking I will not do any fishing on this trip as my rod is one piece and I don't want to leave it "showing" in the car while I'm off with the camera.

Well, Ahoy then, Matey! good to know. I'll be needing to import some from New Jersey! What sort don't you have? The crumb-topped cinnamon coffee cake kind?

Anything else I can bring down that doesn't exist in the South? What a great idea!

Hik,
There aren't any ring dings here??? I'm grateful my thing is M&M's, they are everywhere.
Karen,
Would you? Could you??? Please can I have either Mother Goose Baloney sliced thin or Boarshead Baloney sliced thin?
Thinking of what I can't find here makes my mouth water! LOL But real bagels not store bought in a bag bagels.
Pam

I have not had a Ring Ding since 1996. Apparently, they are a northeast thing.

Oh, man. I don't want to go to this thing, because now I am about 60 pounds overweight, but I just might show up if you bring Ring Dings? How pathetic is that?

The mob.

But seriously, thanks but no need to tempt us after crumb cake dryout and rehab. I haven't seen any kind of crumb cake since I've been here. Buns or pastries - no to that, too, but then again, I didn't see those things in Maryland unless you went to Baltimore. We have no hard rolls, either, not even in a 7-11 type store that you can get buttered with your coffee/tea to go. But again, didn't see those in Maryland, either, so I'm over it.

I have a decent bagel store in Oak Ridge...which reminds me, when planning this picnic originally, no one took into consideration that it was the first day of Passover. Does anyone need to be home before sundown or can't make it because of Passover plans?
