Hi. Is anyone there currently (or in the past) living in Southeastern TN? We are planning a move (getting away from the snow) next August and just wanted to know of the neg. and pos. sides of our planned move. We know about the humidity, minimal snowfall, but also heard about cultural differences--please tell us more if you know of them. We have 2 horses and other pets and all we want to do is ride, ride, ride! Thanks for reading...LTR

You'll love it. And lots of riding trails too. I'm from Shelbyville/Normandy/Tullahoma area, and it's not just walking horses. People are great and scenery is like England, or so native Brits say about Middle Tennessee. Moderator cut: link cut

Smile DAYTON Horse Parade

Last Sat night 5pm was annual holiday horse carriage parade in Dayton, tn. Have nifty pics if you pvt msg your e-mail. Should be 18 degrees tonight, but sunny days high 40's. This whole route #27 valley should be pretty.
