We have a huge fireplace, wherer we are roasting chestnuts, the balsam fir, candles and holly is beautiful.

Hot cocoa of course-a nice Sunday dinner (we will be in Hawaii for Xmas dinner) but this is a very happy country christmas!

I guess you are enjoying the change of scenery! It must be nice to live in a place where you actually have cooler weather and trees that get you in the holiday mood. It looks like you are not homesick for south Florida!

Come up for a visit. You may love it. You have land, peace and quiet- and animals- deer, (no loose chickens/roosters though--lol) It is not always cold here- they dont get alot of snow- maybe once last December- it is truly beautiful to get to live in a place where people dont chop down beautiful old trees- The only cookie cutter houses are 3 hours away in Knoxville- so thats good enough for me. And you wont get fined 500.00 by your HOA (we dont have them here) if you leave a truck in the driveway (unlike S Florida)

PM me if you want any info!.

Sincerely,
sunny

Shouldn't it be "We don't get a lot of snow" or are you just passing through?

After escaping south Florida it's understandable that someone's enthusiastic to describe the good things a their new home. Especially since people in south Florida seem determined to destroy every big beautiful tree, and control your life with homeowner's associations. Everyone I know who has left South Florida has inproved their outlook vastly!

Its also nice to drive where people let you in to make a left turn, dont rear end you and dont use boom boxes to crank rap music. If I wanted that I would have stayed in NY. Oor car insurance in Palm Beach Cty was 3500/year- no accidents. Here it is 300.00, plus my husband gets a commercial discount.

We now have money to go on a REAL exotic vacation- S. Floridians claim they are in the vacation spot of the world-lol-dream on after living there 9 years it is NOT a vacation. Except you will never need to travel to the islands- everyone is right there in Miami anyway.

We are moving to Maryville Tennessee in 2008 and Im so frightened that it doesnt have an ocean next to it, like my birthplace West Palm Beach, Florida. Please tell me what do that county Blount has to offer children with musical talents?

Arer you talking about Blountville? You may want to visit Lake Watauga- a 20 mile lake which alot of floridians have relocated to. In Florida we had a 19 acre mandmade lake right in our backyard, plus we were 20 minutes to the beach----I do miss the water- there are many places where it simply doesnt exist!.

sunny.
