I was planning on clearing the lot we have in Fairfield Glade, but my wife wants me to check into having someone do it for us. I am agreeing with that idea.

Anyone here do clearing, or know someone that does?

The lot has quite a few downed Pine trees as well as underbrush we'd like to remove. We are also looking for advice regarding moving some of he new Pine growth to the sides of the lot as a wind/view break.

Time frame is pretty open. We aren't moving for a few years, although we would prefer getting it done this year and/or next.

Appreciate any help you can give.

I have my dozer guy stopping by tomorrow to move some dirt around and since he is out of Monterey, I will ask him.

As to your pines, well if they are small enough you may be able to get away with transplanting them, otherwise most transplanted wild trees never seem to fare too well. Of course you can join the arbor day foundation for 10 bucks and they will send you 10 free blue spruce's for joining. I think you may even be able to get some saplings from the state if you sign up for them early enough.

Roy,

I thought you were a teacher; do you run do mill type work on the side or just for fun?
