Where exactly are you located? Bloomingdale? I would think you would have to go to the county courthouse to change your plates, and to the DMV for the license. This should clear up some of your questions:

Looks like you will have to go to Blountville.

Default License plates and auto registration

It sounds like you live within the city limits, so you need to go to City Hall...it is a light colored brick building across from the downtown post office. There is a parking lot behind the building and you will probably see signs directing you to the place to purchase plates. The post office is located on center street...the main street through downtown. If you need more info, please send me a note off line and a way to call you and I'll see if I can help on questions like this...I live in the Kingsport area.

Default Drivers License - Directions

RonTrish; Just a bit more information. You can get auto plates at city hall as I described. If you need drivers license, you will need to go to one of the state offices. Directions are as follows. Go to US-11W (stone Drive) and head east from Kingsport toward Bristol. There is a Lowes store located on the east side of Kingsport...from the Lowes store it is 8.4 miles to the office where you can apply for the drivers license...the office is located on the left. Hope this helps.
