This is great snapshot info. Wow, Nashville coming in first in US!

Meanwhile, Memphis sits in the bottom 10 of US. Same state, almost opposite economic growth.

There's not much to celebrate in Memphis since Elvis left the building.

Brownsville at 3.87% is downright impressive. That is a much needed shot in the arm.

Is that a bump from work on the nuclear reactor?

I was surprised at Knoxville's lackluster showing but was equally surprised that the job jump was so high in 2016. Then I remembered there were numerous apartment complexes under construction in 2016. With those completed the jobs go away.

No nuclear reactor in Brownsville that I know of. Brownsville is in West Tennessee near Memphis & Jackson.

There are still numerous apartment complexes being built. Heck, you see some of them everytime you go over the Henley Street bridge!

In 2016 there were 3 big buildings going up on Cumberland plus Marble alley, the Island home complex, Knox Ridge and a great big complex on Tazewell pike. Maybe even the 301 flats near the safety building. Someone from our west Knox contingent can report what was being built in west Knox and how 2016 compares to 2017.

If you are referring to the buildings near Henley St they were just getting underway in 2017.

I spent my first 16 summers visiting family in Lewisburg. Wonder what is driving it's rapid growth unless it's still iover from Williamson county which seems far fetched.

I don't think it's that far fetched. Lewisburg to Spring Hill is only 30 miles. Lewisburg is only 20 miles from Columbia, and the southern parts of Marshall County are only an hour from Huntsville AL.
