Smile The Irish have always been fond of Irises!

I must admit I would love to drive up for both the Iris and the Irish Festivals!

Thanks, Tinman. (Thanks, jabogitlu!)

LOL, gem. I meant, of course, that I love the Iris Festival. Never been to the (Scots)Irish festival that Tinman posted.

I grew up about 10-15 minutes from downtown Greeneville so the Iris Festival is always a festival plus a homecoming!

I'm coming to Greeneville to the Iris Festival from West TN. I'm looking forward to it, as my hubby and I are considering relocating to the area. This will give us a chance to look around and check everything out.

Hope you guys have a good time, tamor! Check out the Jameson Inn on the Andrew Johnson Hwy for a hotel, it's very new, nice and has quick access to downtown via the 11E route.

Unless, of course, you're flush with cash, in which case I'd say to stay the General Morgan Inn in downtown Gvegas.

Thanks for the suggestion. We'll check it out and I'll see what my hubby and sister want to do.

The Scottish Highland Games are happening in Gatlinburg this weekend. It's always fun to watch big guys in kilts throwing telephone poles.
