This was a great year for basketball in Tennessee. The Memphis men ended the year as the #2 team in the country, and the Tennessee women ended the year as the #1 team in the country. Way to go!

Yes (relatively). Of course, nothing is better than winning the national championship, but the men's team has come further in the past couple of years than anyone could have expected. The woman's program had a rock solid foundation to build on, the men's program was built "from scratch" (so to speak).
