I've seen some land for sale in athens area, and just wonder what some of the feedback is of the area. I'm looking for some acreage and may build a cabin in the near future.
thanks

I am from Athens. What kind of information are you looking for? Where is the land and I can tell you what that particular area is like.

It is certainly a beautiful place to live....but whether you like it or not really depend on what you are looking for.

Let me know what questions you want answered and I will certainly do my best.

Default Athen area lakefront lots?

Can anyone give me an idea where to get the best bang for my buck?
I would like to be within 40 miles of a decent size city like athens.
Fill me in on the area or if I should stay away.
Looking to move from Wisconsin to somewhere in this area.

Help!

Athens is a very nice city. We live near Athens and it takes about 10 minutes to get to the city. We are also about 45 min-an hour away from Knoxville and Chattanooga. Those cities are way bigger than Athens. Knoxville has anything you could want as well as Chattanooga.
What is it that you are looking for? What are your hobbies, likes, dislikes? Need to know more to give you an idea where to look.

City? Athens? The population is a bit of 14,000. Maybe it's just me but that seems more like a small town.
