Did anyone else feel the earthquake here that occurred north of Evansville, Illinois this morning? I did, but only because I'd gotten up a short while earlier and went back to bed. Here it almost felt like someone large walking on the floor (no, it wasn't me sleepwalking!)

I'm on the far north side of Chicago and I felt it. Crazy. I wonder if my parents felt it in Columbia?

Default Central Illinois

We had our bedroom window opened slightly during the night here in central Illinois, just north of Bloomington/Normal, and the rattling of the gutters on the house woke us up. We just thought it was probably raccoons making the noise....we had no idea it was the earthquake.

I didnt feel anything and hadnt heard about it till I got to work, but my dogs came in and jumped on my bed about the time it was felt here. I wondered why they were acting out of the ordinary.

We definitely felt it here in Cookeville this morning. My clock said 4:40 am...our teenaged daughter told me she thought someone was in her room...said it scared her. She flipped on the lights really quick and saw no one and went back to sleep!

If you felt it and want to report it, I've set up a link to the USGS.....funny thing is, today is the 102nd anniversay of the great San Francisco Earthquake....oh, and areas of West Tennessee have an Earthquake Drill planned for today...been in the works for a year now! *AMAZING!*

It was one of those rare mornings when I slept in (until 6 a.m. ) so I didn't notice it. However, there are lots of reports of people feeling it in the Knoxville area.

I didn't notice it. But then I grew up in California. Takes bigger shocks than that to impress me!
