Last summer I was surprised to see my first skink in the garage. Of course I was calling it a salamander. I haven't seen any yet this year, where do they winter?

Well, if that's what 2mares meant by psuedo, I'm not sure that term is appropriate. They are real lady beetles (bugs) after all, but like many other living things, this one is an invasive species.
Well, excuse me for not being appropriate, I didnt realize we were that formal (anal) here.

Harmonia axyridis as opposed to Coccinella noemnotata
pseudo, pertaining to -not actually but having the appearence of the the lady bugs we are accustom to seeing in this area

The Asian Lady Beetles get into homes in the autumn, not spring, so I'm still not sure what bug 2mares is referring to.
Just to clear up the confusion I am refering to the Asian persuasion and beg to differ but I have seen them swarm in the spring, perhaps not this early.

As in many insects, ladybirds in temperate regions enter a dormant phase during the winter, so they often are among the first insects to appear in the spring

For those with arachnaphobia (fear of spiders), just remember that no matter where you are in the world, except Antarctica, there is a spider within arms reach of you!
Might sound scary, but how many times have you been bitten by one?

Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like a normal wood spider, which means that one is just a baby.

I think it is, but it looks smaller in the photo than it was, especially when it was alive and spread out. Still not something you want lurking in your home.
