I have always wanted to move to a small town as that is the type of enviroment i was raised in and then i stupidly bought a house in a major city and now want OUT!!!. I was looking online and found the town of Reagan and started looking up Homes in the area and found a nice place on 3 acres just off of 104 and i wanted to find out about the area as i can not find too much info on it online. How is the area as far as crime goes? How far is it from things such as wal-mart and banks and hospitals? Approximately how big is the population in the area? I am moving from Louisiana and have lived here all my life, so im sure some things in a new state will be a shock. How are the people in this area? are they accepting and helpful to newcomers? I am paranoid of real heavy crime and do NOT want any of that around my house. Things such as shootings and stabbings and robberies. I read the heading about a shooting in a parking lot in Reagan? can anyone tell me anything about that? the full story would not come up for me. I do not have any kids so schools are not an issue and i run my own business from home so commuting to work isnt a problem either.

Judging from Google Maps' satellite and street views, Reagan's doesn't qualify as a town. There's little there except for a post office at the intersection of Hwy. 100 & Hwy. 104 and a couple of gas stations. The nearest banks appear to be about 7 miles away in Scotts Hill and Sardis. The closest hospital and Wal-Mart are in Lexington, about 12 miles away.

Demographic info on Reagan's zip code:

Some info about the shooting in Reagan (FWIW, the fight leading up to it was supposedly over a woman): Affidavit: Men went to church to fight » Knoxville News Sentinel

Reagan is not a town, just a location in the country with a post office, south of Lexington. Meth labs abound. Our unemployment rate in Henderson County is officially 19.9 % but actually much higher. Homes on the market not selling, very tough here right now....
