The ticks seem to be exponentially a nuisance already.
Curious, how you treat your yards for them? We can’t walk anywhere without finding one on us.

You can hire a service or get a sprayer or fogger and apply a tick insecticide. Also, keep the grass cut, they love tall grass.

Don't forget what if you spray crap that it can also kill of honey bees, butterfly and other beneficial bugs.

We have animals, garden and livestock, spraying isn’t an option.
Grass is cut weekly, seems that they are just really bad this time of year compared to last few.

Also look up Essential oils that help repel. I use cedarbark EO on my pant legs/socks when I go out to the Apiary, seemed to have worked last time I was out... got one the other time without the EO

We have our yard sprayed for mosquitos, but they use an oil spray that is safe for pets and my pond fish. I have not seen any decrease in bees around, so it must be safe for them.

We have 25 acres and have not had much of a tick problem this year. I’ve only pulled a few off my horses.

My neighbor has chickens who are great at keeping the tick population down, if you have a spot for a chicken house to round them up at night, otherwise the Fox, coyote, or Hawks will get them.

Ticks love pine trees and cedar trees. We have plenty of pine of the fence rows. We use Sevin dust in the dog yard.

I am also wondering if the armadillos who have moved in (blah might be eating them. They aren’t normally on an armadillo’s menu, but the tick population is lower than usual for this time of year.

Ticks don’t like the smell of MTG. I have been known to slather the bottoms of my horses tails and their fetlock hair with it, to help keep the ticks off the horses. <——it’s the only good use I have found for MTG.

A mix of mineral oil/patchouli oil/water is also pretty good at repelling them.

For your own person, the best thing is to spray up with Deep Woods OFF! until they slow down for spring.

Keep mowing and keep bush hogging
