I am so sorry for the sleepless nights. Almost everyone has served in my family. Oh boy did I shed tears when my brother left for boot camp. The worry doesn't leave you till they are home again. I will say prayers for you to get some peace and comfort and be able to sleep tonight!. Also the kids were so happy to make the cards....lol After I explained to them why we were making cards for someone they didn't know.....6 an 9 years old ,they always question everything. But they will be in the mail tomorrow morning. Sending you and Nathan support and prayers!

I'm sorry I just came across this post. I know it's a little late but please send me your son's address. I would be honored to send him a card - even if a little late!! My son just returned from 14 months over there so I know about the sleepless nights.
My son was also a gunner on a humvee in Baghdad. You and your son are in our thoughts and prayers for a safe deployment and speedy return home!!

We mailed our card on 6/14/08. My wife is a Navy reserve nurse and she got a bunch from her unit in Greenville, SC to sign the card and thank him for his service. I hope he has a wonderful birthday. God Bless him.
