Happy Father's Day to all of the Dad's out there and to the rest of us that celebrate our dads and the men in our lives.

I hope that everyone enjoys their weekend and celebrates the good stuff.

I got to spend an early father's day with my dad this past weekend. It was so great to see him and the kids were thrilled to see gran-daddy!!
As for father's day, well the kiddos have big plans to bring daddy breakfast in bed. And since he sleeps in on weekends, that means I get to make two separate breakfast so they can "make daddy's breakfast all by themselves"...but they are really looking forward too it.

Smile Dads and Granddads are people, too - special people.

Split, the grandkids are beautiful. Enjoy their visit.

Grandparents are special parents, too, you know. We get to continue raising our own children well into their 60s and 70s, and then do a little cheerleading for our grandkids, besides.

Aren't the grandparents the most blesses of all?

Have a wonderful weekend, Dads and Grandpops! You all deserve it.

Tinman, I grew up a Methodist and we always had Children's Day at all of the Methodist churches. We each had a role to play in the church service.

Some would recite poems, sing songs, put on skits, my sister and I would always play horrid piano duets (remember "Shine, Little Glowworm - Glimmer, Glimmer"?) The entire Sunday service was presented by the children followed by a great lunch served in the Church dining hall.

Ahhhh, such sweet memories.

I'm no longer a Methodist, but I know my brother's church still has their annual Children's Day.
