Ahhh, one of my memories from childhood . . . blackberry picking.

Also, taking a shower as soon as we got back home because chiggers seemed to love being around blackberry vines.

Oh my gosh my mouth is watering right now. You seriously have no idea how much I love blackberry cobbler. I love it hot out of the oven by itself. I love it hot out of the oven with ice cream. I love it cooled down at room temperature. I love it blended in homemade ice cream. You realize you're going to have to tell us how you make your cobbler, too.

No kidding! Chiggers on my ankles and cuts on my arms. But it's all worth it. I remember as a kid picking blackberries by the bucket, my hands stained for days from the warm blackberry juice from those plump berries that had been soaking up the hot summer sun. And getting blackberry seeds caught between my teeth. My gosh I wish no one had brought up this topic. Now I'm going to obsess about blackberries for the rest of the day.

Here, I'll help. Just think of blackberry cobbler still slightly warm served with big scoops of vanilla ice cream.
