Hi everyone, My husband and I are considering moving to TN. We've heard that Frankilin is a nice place to live. Does anyone know anything about this area that may be of some help? Thanks so much.

I think you mean Franklin, like Benjamin You'll find a lot of info in the Nashville threads.

Feel free to PM me if you have more questions.

Good luck with your move. We love it here, hope your family will too.

Thanks so much. I live in SoCal now, so nothing can be more expensive than that ! I'll definitely look more into it; it seems like such a beautiful town.

Franklin has one of the nicest town squares in the country. I mean it's a real, old-fashioned kind of town square with neat little shops, restaurants, bakeries, etc.

It's nice and hilly around Franklin, too, which I think is one of the reasons it became a popular suburb back in the 1970s.

If you're moving from California, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how affordable it is, considering how upscale it is. For most of the rest of us in Tennessee, Franklin and Williamson County are out of our price range. But I can definitely see why it's so attractive to people coming from even more expensive places like NY or CA.

And unlike similarly priced suburbs in Florida or Texas, Williamson County doesn't seem to have a problem with school overcrowding; they build new schools BEFORE the older ones get too crowded.
