Hello! I am looking to move to Tennessee with my family. My husband and I have a 3 year old daughter, 2 dogs (black lab & pomeranian) and 1 cat. I am a part-time cheerleading coach and work in Training & Development. My husband has owned a small engine repair business where we are currently living. We would like to find a place in Tennessee that has an excellent school system, low crime, and football! My husband likes to hunt & fish. A kid-friendly town would be nice, like one that has some type of recreational sports for kids. A promising employment rate is good too. We are moving out of an economically deprived area to hopefully find better opportunites somewhere else. Currently there are no jobs available .. or atleast none worth anything. We would be selling our home to move, but we would like to rent down there. We would only need a 2 bedroom. We were looking possibly towards Germantown, Soddy Daisy, Collierville, Knoxville, Gatlinburg. How are any of these areas? We are making the trip sometime early January to check some of these areas out .. which ones would be worth our time. Any suggestions would be nice!

You can search the Memphis forum and find plenty of good information and opinions on Germantown and Collierville.
You've listed an interesting variety of choices in your towns.

For all the things you are looking for your family TN is the best place for you. TN love there football. i moved here over four years ago. Youo should check out the knoxville area. It will have everything you will need and short drives for fishing. Lots of shopping int he area too. just be careful how far out you will move from the city area. It turns into very smalll towns and the people do not let just anyone in. they are very nice people but it takes them time to get used to new people. Or maybe it was just me being an yankee. overall it is beutiful area, great fishing, lots of football and a great place for kids to grow up and get a good education. TN is very concerned about kids getting an education. hope this helps and good luck!

Yahnkee too...where from NY? I am from NJ. Born and raised. Maryville is not far from knoxville. Pretty much apart of it. Close enough to find a good job in the area, but counrty enough to enjoy the quiet.
