Laura, I know that I asked you this before but I can't find the answer. I could DM you, but for the benefit of everyone...

What kind of camera do you have?

I want to buy one this weekend. I'm pretty sure Kamoshika said that he had a Cannon.

Laura look into a setting called cepiatone on your camera, I see some cameras have this setting. Yes one of the unexpected joys of taking photo's and everything just comes together...... You need to take that photo and have it framed.... !

Laura, I followed your lead and ordered an FZ28, the newer version of the FZ18. I can't wait to get it. All the reviews just rave about it.

Kamoshika is a he? It took me a year to realize JMT was a he. We need avatars.

I have a Panasonic FZ18 but to let you know, the photos don't come out of the camera like that without some computer photo fixing. Then again, that was true with every camera I've had...I, uh, think it might be me.

Cannon has a 20x optical zoom camera that came out this Fall. There have been some preliminary reviews but I haven't seen any comparison reviews.

Meanwhile, I was in Norris (Weir Dam) this morning before it rained. This is probably the last weekend of color.

Yes, sepia is there as is b&w but I can do that on the computer, too. Next year I think I'm going to go to a big civil war re-enactment in Kentucky. I bet those photos would look good in sepia.

Well, I could post a video, but then you would have to hear the dog barking and the cat meowing and the kid fussing...

Nah. You don't want to hear that!

Default Hopefully, this is not too late

I took these pictures the weekend of November 7th, and was in training in Alabama last week. These are taken in the Lake Nickajack area of Chattanooga.

I think I lucked out and caught this area at peak!
