We would like to invite anyone with interest to visit a newly created web forum for progress updates regarding the residential development of Sequatchie Pointe in Marion County, Tennessee. The web forum is not affiliated with the developer, JJ Detweiler, or any of its subsidiaries. This site was created by land owners of this development to connect with other land owners as well as those businesses that offer services to this area. We hope that this will create a network of friends/contacts where all land owners are communicating with each other about progress, sharing pictures, sharing stories, etc. as well as the Detweiler organization(we hope) supplying periodic updates of status, road completions, and newspaper articles.

The site is in its basic infancy and your suggestions and comments are welcome as we work to develop a forum that is interesting and meets the needs of it members. It is not our intent to move traffic away from City-Data (how many of us have met), but rather, spare all others on City-Data from hearing our drivel about Sequatchie Pointe!

If interested, please PM me for a link to the site. We look forward to seeing you there!

Grizz

Hi Grizz, guess what we found in our Orlando Sentinel newspaper this past week? Yep, a flyer for Sequatchie Pointe. Looks beautiful. They are offering a free 3 day/2 nights hotel stay with a tour of the property, however at the bottom it says reservations must be paid for by a major credit card. What am I paying for if it's supposed to be free? Did you take advantage of this offer before you bought your property? Just wondering.

you know its funny, but as a new homeowner in Hawks Bluff, we tried to do the same thing. We wanted to have a venue to reach out to new neighbors, potential neighbors, and all we got was accusations that we worked for the developer. Gizzly, how can we get our HB a site like yours? your suggetions are welcomed!

PS. We love Our Home in Hawks Bluff!

Congrats on your home in Hawk's Bluff! I promised SmokyMtnGal I would keep the discussion about SP off of CD. Not every one wants to hear about it, I understand.

Anyone is welcome to send me a direct message and I will answer questions about the site, building a website, etc. Thanks.

Default Sequatchie Pointe

Just got my 2008-2008 tax bill for my lot in Sequatchie Pointe (it looks like a Postcard)...anyway, it states on there that there are delinquent taxes on the property that I bought in March of 2007. I'm going to call the Marion County Tax Collector on Monday and get to the bottom of it, but it's a very scary situation that I hope can be resolved easily. Is there anybody else in the same boat?
