Just reading a article that Krispy Kreme Donuts have gotten to chubby so their shutting down their stores nation wide. How are the ones in Tennessee doing..... ?

I haven't heard anything bad. All that I know of are alive and well and still have the flashing HOT sign going!

Eh, I prefer Dunkin'... and I think that in this market Krispy Kreme can't really compete anyway.

Their business model is why they're losing their arses, not the fat or sugar content of the donuts. They, along with Starbucks, tried to emulate the then British craze for gourmet breakfast sandwiches, and failed. That blunder, along with the economy of course, have really hurt Krispy Kreme. Plus the profit margins in donuts are surprisingly tiny.

I didn't know Krispy Kreme had gourmet breakfast sandwiches. I love gourmet breakfast sandwiches! I could have averted a national crisis!

I didn't know they did either. All my KK activities involving rushing through the drive through at 10 pm, prime timing for all the sugar to go straight to my ass as I snooze on the couch at 11 pm.
