Bell Buckle is a small town known for the: Webb School (exclusive private boarding school), Daffodil Festival, antique and artsy shops, and picturesque historic 'downtown'. A local country radio station WLIJ broadcasts live from the Bell Buckle Cafe every Saturday.

It's close to Murfreesboro and Shelbyville (kind of halfway between them off of US231).

Ditto to what reactionary said, it is a cute little place to visit, are you thinking of relocating there?

Pretty much you will have to go to Murfreesboro for that. Maybe some things in Shelbyville. About the only thing in town besides antique shops is the Bell Buckle Café. Pretty decent country food (think what Cracker Barrel would be if it weren't a chain and was run by Aunt Bea) and I think they have bands occasionally.

I am near Bell Buckle. It really isn't all that. Nice to visit once or twice but live there? Yes, the "Bell Buckle cafe" is a good place to eat but other than that it is a sleepy little town. For some reason a lot of wealthy people seem to think it is a great place to live and the real estate prices are skewed (aka overpriced). I see the acreage prices really out of line. I am a few miles from Bell Buckle in Wartrace and a 140 acre place across from me recently sold for 200K but in Bell Buckle the land probably would have been listed at over 700,000. Makes no sense to me.

It's home of the annual Moon Pie and RC Cola Festival. What else do you need?

It's a minor road intersection with a former RR Depot. If you live there you have to either work from home or commute to a larger suburb of Nashville.

We are new to this area (Murfreesboro and also Tennessee) and someone I met last week that lives Bell Buckle just told me about it last week - the antique shops, the cafe, the Moon Pie / RC Cola Festival. I'm really looking forward to checking it out !

I actually have friends from Bell Buckle. It's all about the private prep Webb School and that is why the real estate is so high. Several wealthy families live there while their children attend although it is also a boarding school. The school spits out more Rhodes Scholars than any other secondary school in the country. It was originally a feeder school to Vanderbilt. And yes, my friends went to Webb. And yes, it is related to the Webb School in Knoxville. Same family.
