I know. My mom is in Massachusetts. I'm from there.

Anyway, when it is 32 degrees here as the high for the day, I'm complaining that I am sooooo cold. She doesn't seem to understand. To her, a winter day with a high of 32 degrees is delightful. To us, it is fairly unusual. Our highs in winter average in the 40s.

And of course the winter is so brief.

One thing I'd say about weather...the weather here seems colder than where I grew up due to humidity.
If I had to be outside working, I'd rather be outside in 10 and snow than 35 and rain any day--at least in the first case you have fair odds of staying mostly dry.

Well, it a lot warmer here than it is in The Midwest or The Northeast. A lot warmer.

This has been a brutal winter, this year. And we haven't even hit Christmas. Having said that, it has been even worse in The Midwest and The Northeast.

I don't know a darn thing about Denver or Washington State. I've never been there. It could be much, much milder there.
