The Princeton Review and USA Today have listed what they consider to be the country's 100 Best Value Colleges for 2010. Three are in Tennessee:

Sewanee - The University of the South
Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville
University of Tennessee in Knoxville

Some of the comments.

Sewanee:
The University of the South (more commonly known as Sewanee) is a small and very demanding fortress of the liberal arts and sciences located roughly in the middle of nowhere in Tennessee. This place oozes southern tradition, and, according to students, it’s everything a college should be.

Tennessee Tech:
Despite the technological focus its name suggests, Tennessee Tech isn’t simply an engineering and science school (although it does excel in both those areas.) Actually, education and business administration are just as popular as engineering, the arts and sciences division is robust, and TTU’s nursing program is top-tier.

University of Tennessee, Knoxville:
The University of Tennessee’s dynamic hilltop campus in Knoxville offers a little something for everybody. It’s a southern football school with a vibrant academic atmosphere located in one of the country’s best and most eclectic college towns. The profusion of majors and minors includes several nationally recognized programs.
