Well, Gary and our son-in-law just got back from a 5 day trip to TN. THEY LOVED IT!!! They could not get over how green everything was. They said everyone was so friendly and helpful. Couldn't get over how pretty the freeways were, lined with grass and beautiful trees! Instead of dirt and trash, like our freeways are here in CA. They also said how clean everything was, too. If all works out as planned with their jobs, and the Lord gives us the green light, we'll probably be moving out within the year. It's exciting, and scary, too. I've lived in CA all my life, (48 yrs) my roots are here. So we are praying really hard about this move. Don't want to jump into anything or make hasty decisions just because it's beautiful. So much to consider, so we're doing all the homework we can, keeping our heads on straight, and like I said praying a lot! But anyone who is planning a trip to TN, based on what they guys said and the video's they took, you're gonna love it!

Normally it's a little nicer green. That late cold snap we got here hurt the trees a little. They're still getting over it in some places.

Anyway, I'm glad your family enjoyed the trip.

What part of TN did you go to on your vacation? I'm really considering moving there also but haven't visited there yet. Any do's or don'ts or suggestions from your visit? If my house sells in Fl , I will go. Keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks

I can understand the excitement and nervousness of moving. I lived all my life in Michigan and moved to Tennessee last summer. I absolutely love it! We did a lot of praying too, and waited for the Lord to work out the details. It happened. We sold our house by owner in a market with an average selling time of 305 days. The adjustment has been remarkably easy. Hope it works for you!

Thank you for your encouraging words. Wow, selling your house by owner, was that the Lord or what? I'm happy to hear that you love it there in TN. When it's Him leading, He sure does make the way.

They were in Franklin, mostly. They visited Spring Hill and liked it. They also went to Murfreesboro, but did not like that area at all. Well, I should say they didn't like the downtown shopping area of Murfreesboro. They said the drive to Murfreesboro was very pretty. They drove through Brentwood as well.

They were there 5 days and it wasn't enough time to explore all the areas of Franklin that they wanted to. Mainly because they went to other cities as well. Don't try to visit too many cities in one visit, concentrate on one city and see the most of it you can. They came home absolutely exausted.

If you're looking for rolling hills, Brentwood and North Franklin are the places. Spring Hill had smaller rolling hills.

Hope that helps a little!
