Well, it's coming fast. Next Wednesday morning I'll be on a plane to Nashville to attend the CMA music festival and staying until the following Tuesday. I'm getting excited now. I'm coming back to Tennessee. It's going to be so great, just standing in Nashville and listening to country music for days. It's going to be great finally being in the same state as my heart. I left it down there. It's going to be tough getting back on a plane on Tuesday, unless I just happen to find a job and decide to stay

It's been hot lately (somewhat above normal for this time of year), and I believe it's suppose to continue. Be sure to bring light clothes.

You'll meet people from all over. I've seen them come as far away as Australia.

When I worked downtown we used to bet that we couldn't walk two blocks without being asked for directions when the festival was on (in those days it was called Fan Fair). We never lost the bet. They make a postcard size map of Nashville that folds itself up; it's kind of neat actually. You might find it handy if you happen to see one for sale anywhere.

If you need a respite from the Festival, go out to Centennial Park, or the Bicentennial Mall/Farmers Market.

And . . . welcome to Nashville.

Thanks allleycat for the helpful advice. I am so excited, I can hardly contain myself. and I will definately check out the park and the market. It's been hot and humid here as well lately so it will help me prepare for it.
