I'm a certifiable "junk" collector-at least asccording to hubby & my 3 sons...LOL Thank goodness my 1 daughter shares my passion for "treasure hunting"....Looking is just as much fun as buying as far as I'm concerned.

I have been trying to get to this sale for years...Really thought I would last year, but daughter had registration for school we couldn't miss.

I have high hopes again for this year--I think my odds might be much better also....Daughter and I HAVE to head up to Knoxville & western North Carolina either the 2nd or 3rd week of August for her to look at some colleges.....BINGO---yard sale is on my way--via a round about, LONG way coming up from Orlando--at least as far as the getting over to Knoxville.....HAHAHA...

What would be some of the best places for me to head to from Chattanooga, knowing I am ultimately wanting to end up by Knoxville....???

Made our reservations for the weekend of Aug 6,7,8!!! I found that the hotels in Cookeville (although about 20 miles from hwy 127) were about $100 cheaper per night!! Crossville hotels were outrageous! If anyone else is planning on making a weekend of it, i'd suggest looking around and checking prices. Don't wait until the last minute to book a room, they go in a hurry!

This yard sale keeps getting bigger and bigger! I've never been but I'm sure it's a good time for those who like yard sales.

I'm headed to Cookeville for the weekend and had a heck of a time finding a hotel that wasn't already booked solid because of the yard sale even though Cookeville is 30 miles away. I'm sure Crossville is completely sold out. So it sounds like it's definitely good for the local economy.
