Sent you an email. For rental property try Smokey Mountain Trader, Kx News Sentenial, Citizen Tribune, Newport PlainTalk, Jefferson Standard Banner. Add to your list the the following counties: Cocke, Jefferson. A lot of times rentals are listed in the papers by owners and may be listed as small towns or named for the area.

Sevierville,TN (http://www.pigeon-forge-gatlinburg-family-git2know.com/sevierville.html - broken link) is a quite place for this area. About 3 months out of the year it gets crazy with traffic, because as you know, people are taking vacations in the area.
But with an easy drive you can be out of all the traffic in no time.
Rentals? Wow. They are everywhere! Especially cabins. Hundreds if not thousands. I don't specific info on one but I would suggest going to Tripadvisor and reading the Message boards and all the reviews there.
