Actually you are totally misunderstanding his tweet. He said the stock price was too high, not that the company was overvalued.

Thus the stock split to make the stock price lower.

I wouldn't be surprised at all for a major pullback of TSLA price sometime soon.

But even a pullback to $250 a share ($1250 pre-split) is massively ahead of where the price was a year ago.

This indicates the market acceptance of Tesla's massive strength in position in the automotive and energy sectors.

it doesnt really matter what the stock price is. you shouldnt have used it to take a shot at the company when it was convenient for you because you dont want it used when the stock is doing well. now you are stuck dancing around singing about it being overvalued when you were happy to use the stock price before.

the stock is worth what people are willing to pay for it. if every stock was always fairly valued, it would be a lot more predictable than it is. we already know that isnt the case.

it looks to me like tesla is selling a lot of cars and will likely be doing so for a long time. thats what matters here.
