Reminds me of the three old farmers sitting around the stove at the general store, taking turns discussing what each would do should they come into a big inheritance. The first says, "I'd sell the farm, pack up the Missus, and travel the world". The second says, "I'd sell the farm, move into town, buy a big house, and the Missus and I would put our feet up for a change".
The third, after a minute or two of silence, says: "Naw, I think I'd just hold onto the old place and keep on farming until all the money's gone".

Better hope Elon isn't like the third farmer.

As long as they keep going strong and remain the leader in the EV game they will flourish. I have no doubt that EVs are the future. This article provides additional proof if that:

I hope the graph shown in your link is correct, most of my trips are of short duration these days, and I'd like to have an electric car when they begin to make sense for me. VW's ID.3 due (to be released next year) is something I'll be keeping an eye on, along with Kia's Soul EV.

But Tesla needs to start paying attention to its current owners, if this link is common behavior:

Odd how sales surge just before another tax credit cut. Too bad Tesla can’t count on that forever.

I love the projected price a decade out based on a half decade worth of data. By that rationale, my laptop should have cost like $12 by now.

well, the tax credit was $7,500 last year but the record sales so far was when the tax credit was recently $3,750.

If tax credits are of paramount importance then the record sales should have been accomplished in Q4 2018. The word of mouth is spreading. people are becoming more familiar of the engineering marvels these cars are.

No, the quarter before another tax cut there is a mad dash to get a Tesla. For this quarter, the least profitable Tesla’s were in the highest demand.
