Not saying there isn't a loyal fan base here but let's be honest, it isn't St.Louis, it isn't Boston, it isn't Chicago, it isn't New York. Texas is a diehard football state. That will never change. I'm a big Rangers fan myself and always supported them through thick and thin. But the crowd can thin out when they aren't winning. Same is true for Astro fans. I'm not saying either fan bases are as bad as the Marlins (nobody is). But it isn't the Cardinals either.

Florida has a lot of sports teams with lacking fanbases.

I agree. I can't watch baseball on TV because it's waaaay too slow. I do like the experience of going to the ballpark and seeing a game in person, though, so I will say the Rangers.

I think what I usually look at are the times when teams have fans that seriously feel like the team is as important as anything else in their lives. The Cubs fans that have it on their tombstone that the Cubs never won. I always wonder if Josh Hamilton had made his baseball town comment in 2007, would there still been a backlash?

Even as a Rangers fan, I agree with Hamilton that Arlington/Dallas isn't a baseball town and in fact, I believe basketball is more popular. (after of course football) Until the Rangers win a World Series (although they should have in 2011) I don't think it will become a baseball town anytime soon.

At least fans have air condition at Cowboys Stadium and the AAC.

I'm glad you said that. One Texas team can't get any relief from the insane Texas weather. Every pro team except the Rangers have a roof. I've been to more than a few games where I would have appreciated a roof.

I think their next stadium will indeed be a roof if they do build another one.

I'm pretty fond of the area where it is now. Probably just the fact that I've been going there since I was a child, but I always liked driving by Six Flags. Although, I did hate when Jerry ruined the area. Parking has gotten so much worse.
