Agreed, and the same goes for Wal*Mart. Everyone is out to make a quick buck, thereby basically lying about their prices being discounted.

We stopped there a couple of times when they first opened. Didn't find their selection of goods or prices to be all that special, never went back. If rents went up the shops would have to charge even higher prices. Sounds like they priced themselves right out of business.

Obviously no one from DFW will drive down there with all the newer options available.

Likewise, no one from Waco or points south is going to bother anymore now that the far superior outlet shops opened between Georgetown and Round Rock which is only about 15 minutes further drive from Waco than Hillsboro. My wife and I sometimes do drive down to the big outlet mall near Georgetown because we can also visit Ikea and REI and the other shops around that area whereas there is nothing else in Hillsboro.

So the Hillsboro outlet mall is basically obsolete.

On top of that; Waco is starting to pull in more shopping options. Hillsboro Outlets really just isn't worth the drive anymore. It once was, but not anymore.

I know Waco has an large Antique Mall downtown that seems to attract a lot of visitors....what other shopping options does Waco have?
