Flores Launches 72-Hour 'Fire Pelosi' Moneybomb -- BRYAN, Texas, Aug. 23 /PRNewswire/ --

I like Chet Edwards. He has done a lot for the Waco area since he was elected. Even most conservatives I know in Waco like him.

I like him too, as well as Nancy Pelosi. [ducks and covers]

Go Bill Flores!! I literally can't stand Pelosi. That old hag definitely needs to get "fired" from being Speaker of the House.

I highly suggest not voting out a successful and solid local politician just because you disagree with a National politician. It is extremely likely the Republicans will regain the house without Bill Flores's support.
Furthermore this would be the first publically-elected government position Bill Flores will have ever held. I know some people have a romantic love of "Washington needs fresh blood", but the truth is it will hurt the area represented by him until he gains his political legs over time. (*Edwards has 19yrs of Senority built up.)

Now, if Chet Edwards has in your view NOT been representing the local area's interests that's another story...
(*Do note, Edwards has voted against his party on occasion. He has a record of voting the interest and views of the community he represents. For example he voted against the Healthcare bill, and votes against same-sex marriage legislation. He is one of the few democrats that will listen if his phones ring about something.)

So you dont like Chet Edwards because Nancy Pelosi is the speaker of the house? Makes no sense.

It only makes sense if you believe the narrative that Republicans regaining the house hinges on Chet Edwards.
The Republicans have held the house speaker position for more of the years he's been in office than not. (6 Republican congresses vs 4 democrat)

Edwards has never been the roadblock to a Republican led congress.

Did you not read the article in the link above? I was commending Mr. Flores on what he had to say about Pelosi being "fired" from being Speaker. I have nothing personal against Mr. Edwards, however, I will support any Republican or Independent against any Democrat in this November's election.
