[LEFT]Texas was one of only seven states with a residential foreclosure rate below 1.85 percent for the third quarter.
The Texas Mortgage Bankers Association reported the foreclosure rate on residential mortgages in Texas fell to 1.82 percent for the third quarter, down from 1.95 percent in the third quarter of 2009.
The national average home foreclosure rate for the most recent quarter stood at 4.39 percent.

I don't know the specifics, but my guesses would be Texas is probably one of those states that doesn't have a big 2nd home market like AZ, NV, and FL. Plus my other guess would be that a lot of the houses were much cheaper than the 3 aforementioned states to begin with but, I'm sure someone could come up with better reasons
