Umm, I lived in Thorndale almost all my life. Its a small town that is really quiet and pleasant to live in and around. Schools are rated one of the best in the state. The school has won back to back state championships in the past. One more thing, Internet, I would choose Eccentrix wireless for the needs. They have phone and internet combo. sewage, I would find a sewage tank installer and an official state inspector to check out the work before passing it off. Land clearing, There is a man that does the clearing, I forgot his name though. You can google it. There are independent businesses that does residential services for individuals. Water, well, there is one corporation that supplies water to all residents. Its southwest milam water supply corporation. They are high on their water and often has line breakages. Try to find an aquifer to tap into. you will be better off with well water that will not have any additives in it. And its pure by the state standards. All of this if you are living out in the country.

In town, you will need to get with the city hall for the water and sewage and trash pickup. they are the one who will turn the service on. Rockdale charges over 200+ dollars for the start of the contract and deposit to turn the services on. Thorndale, I am unsure, I never lived in the town. I am pretty sure they are not that expensive though. I am wishing you luck in finding a place to reside in Milam county. There is no place like home here in Milam County.

I hope this helps.
